Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Holds Training Workshop about Writing Projects Proposals and Offers

AMMAN ---- September 9, 2015 ----Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Group, a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), in collaboration with Anna Lindh Foundation –the Jordanian Network, headed by the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS) - held a training workshop about “Writing Project Proposals and Offers” at RIIFS headquarters.

The workshop was part of a program for building the capabilities of the member organizations in the Jordanian Network - Anna Lindh Foundation.

The workshop was attended by 25 trainees from Anna Lindh Network members representing non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations and individuals with the aim of developing the civil society organizations’ skills in obtaining funding for local and international organizations to develop their work and contribute to the process of sustainable development of these organizations by enabling them to obtain the necessary development support for their organizations.

The training included an introduction about the process of tenders' invitation and tenders different types, in addition to reviewing information about the contents of tenders invited by donor organizations. Furthermore, the mechanism of preparing winning tenders was expounded through practical explanation, in addition to the method of improving the quality of tenders to be offered. It was concluded with a group practical training for the participants to study and prepare a tender.

RIIFS Director Dr. Majeda Omar said during the opening session: “We need such training workshops to activate the organizational communication and exchange experience."

On the sideline of a meeting that was held before the training course and gathered a large number of the civil society organizations, Anna Lindh Foundation Manager Zaina Ishaq Al-Nemri said that the cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) came as a result of our interest to build sustainable relations with supporting organizations like TAG-Org in light of the Network’s national strategy to build strategic partnerships with leading organizations that converge with the Network on the same objectives and interests.

Tenders Expert and Lead Consultant at TAG-Org, Mohammad Dairanieh said that this workshop was very necessary to educate Anna Lindh’s Network members and raise their awareness of the preparation of tenders indicating that it revealed their organization’s need to such training course.

He added that this workshop is important to develop the capabilities of organizations and enhance their chances to win tenders, as tenders form one of the most important cornerstones for their viability, whether they are for-profit or non-profit organizations.

It is worth mentioning that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Professional Training Group will be holding more workshops in this field for various economic sectors, given the importance of developing the capabilities and expertise of such organizations and their staff.
