JOrchestra Organizes "The Sound of Movies" at Odeon Theater  

 

AMMAN------ September16, 2015 ------- The Jordanian National Orchestra Association (JOrchestra), chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, is organizing an exciting evening for the fans of movies with  a concert under the theme "The Sound of Movies" on September 20th at 7:30 pm at Odeon Theatre, Amman.

In the coming concert, a selection of great and famous movies’ soundtracks will be performed, where the audience will enjoy listening to the music of The Phantom of the Opera by Andrew L. Webber, and soundtracks from James Bond 007 movies by Monty Norman, the Pirates of the Caribbean by Klaus Badelt, highlights from Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Star Wars by John Williams, and The Typewriter by Leroy Anderson.  

In addition the Sleeping beauty by  Peter Tchaikovsky, and Mary Poppins by Sherman Brothers, will be performed.

Ms. Sara Rella, director of JOrchestra stressed that it is essential to present different types of musical performances in order to add flavors to the musical scene in Jordan. She added that this event will attract both music admirers and movie lovers.

It is worth mentioning that a Board of Trustees has been recently formed under the honorary patronage of her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein. The Board is comprised of Jordanian dignitaries who support innovation and classical music, along with ambassadors of countries that have rich heritage of classical music who enrich JOrchestra with their passion to art and music, and facilitate opportunities to cooperate with their countries. 

JOrchestra is currently working on developing its program of concerts through international relations such as the cooperation with Roma 3 Orchestra, and a musical exchange program with the Riverberi Music Festival.
